Rockin' In the 80s: 'Never Surrender' by Lion (1986)

Rockin' In the 80s is still rockin', and today we are featuring the 1986 song Never Surrender, by English-American rock band Lion. Lion were an English-American rock band based out of Los Angeles, California, and who formed in 1983, and consisted of members Kal Swan and Tony Smith, who both  relocated from the UK and teamed up with bassist Alex Campbell and drummer Mark Edwards, and then later recruited guitarist Doug Aldrich and bassist Jerry Best (both of whom had previously recorded with the band Mansfield) to complete the Lion line-up. Lion are best known for their theme song to the 1986 animted film The Transformers: The Movie, but they also produced 3 studio albums before disbanding in 1989. Never Surrender is a song they made for the soundtrack to the 1986 sci-fi/action film The Wraithand that is where it can be found.
